International Women’s Day for 2024 was brought to you by the four Rotary Clubs of Langley. This Women’s Day Event has been held for over 10 years by Rotary, each year bringing you a prominent speaker as well as a lunch. It’s also an opportunity to meet your friends and perhaps create new ones.
The theme for International Women’s Day 2024 is “Inspire Inclusion.” The aim of the #InspireInclusion theme is to collectively forge a more inclusive world for women.
This year’s Keynote Speaker was Taylin McGill, the 2019 Courage to Come Back Award winner (Youth Category). At just 10 days of age, it was discovered that Taylin had contracted salmonella which led to bacterial meningitis. To recover from this devastating illness, she endured 14 invasive but life-saving brain surgeries before she was eight years old.
